Pre-K Program
Numbers, counting, math letters, geometric shapes as
well as forming of complete sentences will be learned at
this stage in development. Children in the Pre-K program at
my school explore these concepts doing our best to have them
mastered. Since children learn these concepts at their own
pace they are taught with hands-on materials, songs, and
games. Work samples are used to assess knowledge acquired.
The learn time, mainly the difference between day and night.
We increase their mathematical skills, through patterns,
symbols and repetitive notions. Recognizing their name and
writing is a key component of development at this stage. Our
overall primary goal is to see our children enter
kindergarten well above the average kid. Understanding what
is being read an able to answer question relative to that
increases the child’s literacy skills.
